Knowsley Harriers AC has a strong road running member base and so to reflect this we operate an annual road running championship. In each race every member will be given a score based upon their finishing position against other members of Knowsley Harriers AC. We are trying a variation of the scoring system this year to make ‘all races equal’ First member home will score 40 points, second 39, and so on. If there are more than 40 members in a race, this will change to first runner 50, second runner 49 and so on.

As members will likely be pursuing there own individual goals  in 2015 and we don’t want to risk  over racing, the number of qualifying races will also  be reduced from 10 to 8 this year.

All races with ********* at the end are races which are also part of the Merseyside Grand Prix which the club has entered again this year.
Where there are 2 races in one such as RnR or Wirral these will be combined to give one set of points using a formula.

  • At KHAC members can vote with their feet, and if any race has more than 20 members taking part this is then added to the championship.
  • It is your best 8 points totals out of the club championship races that count during the year. Due to risks of injury etc we would not expect our members to participate in every race.
  • When you enter a race please use “Knowsley Harriers AC” as club name, this makes it easier to collate results after each race.
  • The overall winners for both Male & Female categories plus vet categories will be announced at the 2015 Christmas awards ceremony.
